We specialize in retail hardwoods, wholesale hardwoods, and a variety of top-quality Northern and Appalachian hardwoods.
Founded in 1970, and with a history dating back to the late 19th century, Northland Forest Products continues today as a family-run business. Northland produces its own exclusive brand of hardwood lumber for markets in the United States and 26 countries around the world. Headquartered in Kingston, NH, Northland Forest Products also has operations in Troy and Manassas, VA.
As a hardwood lumber processor, exporter and distributor, Northland takes great pride in knowing that our customers depend on us for the finest quality kiln-dried Northern and Appalachian hardwoods. Our customers expect the best, and that's what we deliver. We take a long-term approach to business relationships and strive for complete customer satisfaction.
Our long-term approach extends to forest management. Northland has made it a priority from the very beginning to purchase our wood from well-managed forests. Our business is built on quality and integrity and we know that with good forestry practice and sustainable management techniques, our nation's forests will become healthier and more productive in the future. Decisions made in the woods today will affect the overall health and quality of the forests for years to come.
Northland Forest Products is proud to have one been one of the earliest companies in North America to embrace forest certification. Since 1996, we have been chain-of-custody certified by SmartWood to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards. The FSC is the leader in third party responsible forestry certification, and we are committed to doing everything we can to source and market FSC-certified lumber. Our certificate number is SW-COC-000022 — there are only a handful of companies still in the business that have been selling FSC-certified wood longer than we have.
